Bonnie Hopkins Memorial Scholarship

Bonnie Hopkins was raised in a military family. She attended schools around the globe, depending upon where her father was stationed. Because of this, Bonnie developed an appreciation for different cultures and the various aspects of life.

Bonnie continued in her father’s footsteps by joining the army as a 2nd Lieutenant. After serving her country, she taught English at the University of North Carolina and then at Saint Philips College in San Antonio. She later entered the corporate world as a Document Specialist.

Bonnie fought a courageous battle against myeloma, losing the battle in June of 2006. She truly believed in education, which is why her sister and brother-in-law, Crystal and Paul Kropf established this scholarship in her memory.
